We had a massive spill of solar energy spill over the past couple of days.

All over our yard, roof and neighbourhood. Fortunately, there seems to be no toxic repercussions. All of the local wildlife seem to be unaffected. Our breathing is fine.

We managed to soak a good deal of it up using the solar panels on our roof, and channel it into our car, battery and home, as you can see on the graph showing:

Yellow: Solar production
Red: Sent to our car, now fully charged.
Green: Stored in our house battery, now fully charged, for use tonight.
Blue: Used for our home appliances
Grey: Exported to the grid, for other homes to use.

Cost: $0 (well, actually we’ll get paid something for exports).
